holy shit, i met Gabriel Garcia

so...this happened. wow.
i've been waiting for that since i was like 15,
15 year old me and 22 year old me are very happy about this.

he's so nice...after the show, he was pretty close to me and i was struggling to find words to say to him, because i have a tendency to say really dumb shit to people i think are cool haha

so, as i'm slightly ready to give up,
he comes up to me and he's like "hey, i saw you singing all the words down there, that was pretty cool, wanna take a picture together?"

my heart was like "lol c ya" but my brain was like "YAAAAASS"

i'm fucking stupid and i was shocked so i just cover my face with my hands because it was less inappropriate than literally running away , then held it together for just long enough. haha thanks to the innocent bystander who took the picture for me!

The first time, the flash was off, so that picture is the second one.
i was nervous (like i said, i have no filter) and i'm just like "do i look crazy in that picture? i usually look bad with flash, please don't lie to me haha"

they handed me my phone back and Gabe's like
"Nahh, we look good "

i swear that shit echoed in my fucking head haha

i also found out he's only a few months older than me, i told him i'd been a fan since 08, and i was like 15 then. he asked how old i was now, i told him 22 and he told me he was 23. man, why is he so fuckin' cool?!

the whole show was bangin' though.
Sins of Motion opened, they're one of my favorite local bands.

i finally bought a shirt from them at this show!

after them was this band, kind of sounded an awful lot like slayer...but they played this bad ass medley of  metal classics and man i went crazy! haha i can't resist oldschool metal :)

and then my friends band, The World I Knew, who always kills it.
i met a couple of girls that worked for a magazine in Cleveland, and i told them to make sure they listened in for them..they said they like them alot! i was so stoked, i hope it means something good for my favorite dudes :)

after them was a band called SycAmour, and they were just...wow. kind of blew me away, imagine if Panic! At The Disco was a metalcore band and that they were really good. they were so great. it turns out that's who the girls from the magazine (Brittani and Kenz) were here to see, and they were so right about them.

i forgot that people who don't know me are surprised by some of the things i do. i went up to the bar and asked for a Corona and a shot of Jameson, and they were like "holy shit, you're hard core"
only then did i realize that most people (especially not 90 lb 4'10" chicks) don't do that haha

and of course, Black Tide. Since i started listening to them so long ago now, i didn't expect any older songs to be in the set...but they opened with a Metallica cover "Hit The Lights"

and god, i cannot stress this enough,
i wouldn't want my first Black Tide show to start any other way.
They played all of my favorites, and "Shout" which is the first song i had ever heard by them

after the show, post-meeting Gabe, i met Austin...and he is a character.
He's actually the first person i saw when i walked in, and i said nothing every time he passed me, but finally i'm at the bar and i do.
i said i felt kind of awkward saying hi to them because i'd been following them online for so long, because idk, it does feel awkward sometimes.
and he's like "No, it's not awkward! I'm just a normal guy!"
then he shakes my hand and said "Hi, I'm Austin!' so i said "Hi, I'm Azzy"
and he's like "see, it's not awkward. we know eachother now."

and now we're facebook friends!

and there was a day in my life...
